Do you know the difference between positive stress and negative stress?

There are none : It is the same thing.

Stress is a natural reaction of our body.
It is a response to requests or solicitations made on it.

It’s hot, we sweat, we have to run after the bus, we secrete adrenaline …

Now let’s talk about stress at work.
At work, our organisation will react to work situations to which we have (think we have) an obligation to respond.

When we have the resources, time, knowledge, information, autonomy… the stress is not perceptible. All is well.
On the other hand, when they are missing or we FEEL they are missing, stress becomes noticeable. It manifests itself in an emotional, physical, cognitive form.

But then again, that’s normal. We will go into Rambo or Lizard mode, fight/escape or inhibition. And phew it’s all good.

At work, unfortunately, this state can be permanent, latent, more or less perceptible (you can no longer see it because it is always there).

It is this shape that must be spotted before it is too late.
In the next post I will tell you the signs to look for to avoid the worst.
In the meantime, tell me what the worst or best reaction to a stressful situation is for you.
